Inorganic non-metallic materials 2025

Dear fans of inorganic non-metallic materials,

we would like to invite you to the 30th jubilee annual Doctoral Students‘ Seminar Inorganic Non-metallic Materials, organized by the Department of Glass and Ceramics at the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, which will be held on 5 and 6 February 2025.

Abstracts

Abstracts must be sent till January 10, 2025 to the simonovb@vscht.cz . The abstract template can be downloaded here.

As every year, there will also be a competition within the seminar, which will be evaluated by a committee of experts, and the winners will be announced on the last day of the seminar. Every presentation in English is automatically entered into the competition. If you do not wish to participate in the competition, please let us know by email at simonovb@vscht.cz .

During the seminar, small refreshments will be available during coffee breaks.

Presentation:

Presentation duration is set for 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for disscusion.

Competition:

All presentations submitted in English are automatically part of the competition and will be evaluated by a committee during the seminar.

Venue:

The seminar will take place at Uhelna, located in Building A at UCT Prague in Dejvice ((Technická 5, 160 00 Praha 6 Dejvice, map here).

Accommodation

  • Accommodation can be arranged at the Masaryk Dormitory of CTU, which is within walking distance of UCT Prague. More information here.
  • It is also possible to stay in the UCT Prague dormitories, which are 30 minutes away by public transport from the UCT Prague building. More information here. Book your accommodation directly through the contact listed on the dormitories page or, in case of confusion, send an email to simonovb@vscht.cz.
  • It is also possible to use classic portals such as booking.com or airbnb.com, where you can also find many accommodations at similar prices within walking distance of UCT Prague.
